Below is a prayer from 19th Century explorer, Priest, and martyr, Charles de Foucauld (1858 – 1916). May it be our prayer also.
I place my soul in your hands.
I give it to you, my God,
With all the love of my heart
Because I love you.
And for me it is a necessity of love,
This gift of myself,
This placing of myself in your hands
Without reserve
In boundless confidence
Because you are my Father.
Powerful prayer.
Thank you so much for sharing
You’re welcome! Glad that you found it meaningful.
Thank you.
You’re welcome, Elaine. Sometimes written prayers are a blessing and can teach us how to pray.
